Other Writing
Flash Fiction and creative non-fiction
In 2025, I started writing flash fiction and creative non-fiction. What is creative non-fiction, you ask? Well, it's where I take the skeletons in my closet and pad them out with things that almost, didn't quite happen. I am in the process of writing a collection of flash memoirs documenting the strangeness of family life. Two pieces from this collection: American Magician and Foxes are available in The Argyle and Blood+Honey, respectively.
In fiction, my tastes lean towards the speculative, and I've recently started publishing fantasy and horror-adjacent works. My piece Pompeii Inside a Snail Shell is a view on the terrifying power of technology, written - bizarrely - before the mainstream integration of AI into just about everything. If it needs stating, I'm wholly against generative AI and its use in creative outputs.

Experimental and interactive fiction
My experimental fiction work focuses on lipogramatic works and interactive fiction presented online. Through my PhD in Media Practices at Middlesex University I explored how experimental language techniques can be replicated in the online space to engage young adult audiences. Below is an example of an experimental project I undertook during my undergraduate studies, presented in the form of a non-linear blog.
